What are Hydrosols?
Hydrosols are the co-product of essential oils in the steam distillation process. When a botanical, such as Lavender, is steam distilled to produce essential oil, it also produces a water called “hydrosol”. Hydrosols possess the same therapeutic properties as essential oils but are more gentle and less volatile than their co-product essential oil. You do not need to dilute hydrosol for topical application the same way you would with essential oils. They are also known as floral waters or hydrolats.
How We Produce Our Hydrosols:
Our botanicals are organically grown (no pesticides or herbicides) and propagations or seeds are sourced from non-GMO sources. In fact: we utilize our hydrosols for pesticide! Our batches are steam distilled in small batches, resulting in only one gallon of hydrosol per batch! At this time, since we produce only small batches, we do not separate the oil from the water. Our hydrosols are stored in a cool dry area and bottled in BPA free plastic for aging.
Our hydrosols are 100% pure and non-diluted distilled botanical.
Uses for Hydrosols:
Household Cleaning, Diffusing, Facial Toner, Hair Product, Laundry (Main Wash or Rinse,) Essential Oil Diffuser (No Need to Dilute!), Light & Natural Perfume, Linen Sprays, First Aid Kits, Natural Insect Repellents, Insect Bites, Burns, Rashes, Pain.
